An east coast native, but a Californian by choice; I have spent a lot of my life moving around from place to place. Whether it was literally moving homes, or spending free time growing up exploring the natural world, or having spent a large amount of my life since my teenage years traveling around the world…. Something deeply ingrained in me is a need to keep going places, and I think this is from where my love of photography (and other visual art) was kindled. When finding so many visually encapsulating places around me, I knew I wanted to document and record them, so I could keep these memories with me forever. Once I took a film photography class in 8th grade, I was hooked.
I’ve spent almost all of my adult life on a coast, usually in sight of the ocean. So when finding subjects to photograph, that area usually ranks highly. However, a deeply green forest or even some immense and powerful geology will grab my attention like a fish chasing a baited hook.
I hope you enjoy this journey that I’ve cultivated here for you, taking different paths that lead you to different spots on our planet. I wouldn’t have nearly as much satisfaction as a photographer if I didn’t have someone to share these memories with…
so for that, I thank you.
